Atom By Atom is a space-factory automation game built around molecular chemistry. Extract Atoms from drifting element clouds, route matter through Tubes, divide the flow, and use Bonders to assemble the exact molecules demanded by a black hole.

Molecules travel through a working chemical factory and disappear into the central Black Hole.

FREE DEMO

• Interactive H₂ tutorial

• First four contracts: H₂, O₂, H₂O, and H₂O₂

Two Hydrogen atoms enter a Bonder through separate Tubes and leave together as H₂.

• Extractors, Dividers, Bonders, Tubes, and automatic Tube bridges

A player traces a Tube into a live Hydrogen production line.

• Seeded factories, blueprints, statistics, achievements, save/load/autosave, and portable save codes

A working Tube bridge network transitions to matter crossing a linked Wormhole.

• Continue building in the H/O sandbox after the final demo contract

Your factory save can be exported as a code for later use in the full game.

Some gallery images show later-game factories from the full version; the demo itself ends after H₂O₂.

The camera pulls back to reveal a large active molecular factory.

Browser: click Run Game and use fullscreen for the intended 16:9 view. Progress is stored locally in this browser.

Windows: extract the entire ZIP, keep AtomByAtom.exe and AtomByAtom.pck together, then run AtomByAtom.exe. Windows SmartScreen may warn because this test demo is unsigned.

Linux: extract the ZIP, keep AtomByAtom.x86_64 and AtomByAtom.pck together, then run AtomByAtom.x86_64. If needed, enable execution permission with: chmod +x AtomByAtom.x86_64

macOS: extract the ZIP and read “READ ME FIRST - macOS.txt”. This Universal build supports Apple Silicon and Intel. Because this tester build is not Apple-notarized, use Control-click > Open the first time.

I don't get this

Thats the recipe, it gives you the exact steps on how to create H2, which is actually what we know as hydrogen gas. You have 1 hydrogen atom and another hydrogen atom. You bind them together and you have H2, or hydrogen gas on room temperature. Its the most abundant molecule in the universe. The tutorial tries to show you that there you can see the recipes.

I'm not a science guy!

That should not be a problem. Just have fun building molecules, maybe you will learn a thing or 2 about chemistry!Anyways thanks for trying regardless!

Yeah well i did not understand "Thats the recipe, it gives you the exact steps on how to create H2, which is actually what we know as hydrogen gas. You have 1 hydrogen atom and another hydrogen atom. This game  is a bit complicated.

Thanks for trying! What would make this game more accessible for you to play?

Could you try to make this dowloadaple for linux?

I will try, can you not play it on browser though?

I added a linux build, please try it out and let me know if everything works well. Appreciate it
